Hello! I’m Bethan (and that's me on my wedding day, I don't just casually wear a white dress and flower crown I promise!)
I live with my husband Joe, my little boy Albie, and our troupe of rescue animals (dog Gus, cat Howard, and 3 chickens) in Yorkshire. My loves outside of flowering are: gardening and sitting in my garden with a beverage (hello coffee/craft beer/prosecco!), long dog walks, vegan cooking, listening to our vinyl collection or a good podcast, or watching one of my favourite tv shows.
I run Bureau Botany from my workshop in a village called Farnhill, not far from Skipton on the North/West Yorkshire boundary not too far from Leeds, Manchester, Harrogate and York.
I did my degree in Graphic Design & Illustration, and whilst studying worked on a number of projects building large art installations for festivals and events. After I graduated I landed a job in fashion as a Visual Display Assistant at a luxury department store doing the interior store displays and window displays; and it was here that I first dipped my toes in to the world of floristry. We started making floral displays for the store and for events, and I was sold! I worked in both a florist shop and as a freelance wedding florist before deciding to set up on my own.
My love of fashion, design, styling and creating a spectacular impact, as well as not offering the “same old” to my couples has always remained at the heart of Bureau Botany.
